An Austin City Council affordable housing initiative fizzled out early June 19 as the Council voted to adopt a PUD ordnance supported by the developer lobby and opposed by city boards, city commissions, and housing advocates. Hi,
The City of Austin's Affordable Housing is a scam. I purchased an Affordable Housing unit - with a conventional loan and the City devalued the market value by at least 1/3rd to a 1/2 of any other property in the complex.

The City of Austin ripped me off. I asked to resolve the valuation issues and have been attacked by my community to the point that I tried to commit suicide.

I have never been treated so badly in all my life. This was supposed to be a stepping for me, not a coffin.
